Tukaani developers
A project like this cannot be done alone. It needs people to test things and report bugs and other problems. Luckily gathering a couple of interested users for the project core team wasn't too hard. However, the project has grown and the amount work to be done has increased. If you happen to be interested to help the project by coding small utilities in C, maintaining sh-scripts (pkgtools and installer) or writing documentation, be brave and contact us!

Patrick J. Volkerding is The Man behind the oldest Linux distribution that is still actively developed. Without Patrick and his enormous work with Slackware, there would be no Tukaani. For Larhzu, Slackware has been the first distribution where he has felt he's at home. Thanks Patrick, your contribution to the GNU/*/Linux community has been inexpressible.
Increasing the compression ratio of files while keeping the decompression speed fast is essential to make all the packages of Tukaani Linux to fit on one CD-R. The LZMA compression hasn't yet become popular in other areas but we really hope it will soon. Thanks to Igor Pavlov who wrote the LZMA SDK. His masterpiece is free software and the features beat the commercial althernatives.
Both Slackware and Tukaani 'pkgtool' and installer use dialog to draw the menus and other interactive screens. Thanks to Thomas E. Dickey and others who have involved in developing it.
Thanks to Fred Emmott (fred87) whose ideas and improvements on security are included in Tukaani distribution.
Thanks to Jakub Jankowski (shasta) for excellent ideas and tips. He also gave a couple of high quality SlackBuilds.
Thanks to Alexandre Sauvé who made the first packages of LZMA Utils for Debian.
Thanks to Matt Hayes for providing pkgtools packages for x86_64.
Several other people have given feedback, bug reports, feature suggestions etc. Thanks to everyone who has helped the Tukaani project.
